So sorry, but the FAA SPANs email system has broken due to a recent website update and announcements for our Sunday Webinar were not delivered (more precisely, it sent exactly one e-mail instead of the “National” list of thousands) So despite a great turn (thank you) we will delay until November to reach a full audience. This series has built up an amazing following and we are so grateful. 🙏

Please register HERE for the November presentation (same url as Sunday). The previous webinar – “ground school” for the maneuvers – is HERE on our SAFE YouTube channel. This training will soon be available soon on FAA Safety.gov as a series of courses.
Please enjoy the YouTube “short” below from our SAFE Channel. This is content from our Sunday presentation. It utilizes a powerful demonstration any CFI can use to demonstrate the effects of stalls in a turn or slipping (both feared and misunderstood). This should be quite a surprise for those who believe any “cross-controlled” stall results in a spin. This phase of flight is greatly misunderstood and needs more exposure. Inaccurate
information and fear create an increasingly small “comfort zone” where a pilot can maneuver safely. This trend is exactly what our Extended Envelope Training is designed to combat with knowledge and practice. These maneuvers can be flown in any training aircraft at your own local airport (with a qualified instructor). Many pilot applicants coming for tests have never done turning stalls (they are in the PPL ACS) and many also fear the “slip-to-land” maneuver – required for every PPL evaluation – because it is “cross-controlled.” We definitely have an important mission at SAFE correcting these misconceptions and building skills. Register HERE for Nov. webinar – fly safely (and often)!
